The 10th German-Tunisian Energy Day
The Geen decade – The Road to 2030
The 10th German Tunisian Energy Day will be held on November 11, 2021 in Tunis, under a semi-virtual format. This edition will take place under the patronage of H.E. Neila Nouira Gongi, Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy. The annual conference will focus on development needed during this decade to achieve the energy transition target set for 2030.
The energy transition is based on developing sustainable solutions while ensuring a reliable energy system with affordable costs. Various projects, mechanisms and programs have been put in place in Germany and Tunisia, others are being developed to further promote the energy transition in the coming years. In this perspective, the 10th German Tunisian Energy Day is held, whose vision is to promote exchanges between the two countries.
Two sessions are planned; The starting point of the exchange on the first session consists in sharing the vision between the officials on the strategic developments in the energy sector in Germany and Tunisia.
The second session will focus on the transformation in the industrial sector. The main objective is the exchange of experiences and best practices between international and national experts. Presentations and testimonies are considered.
The German-Tunisian Energy Partnership provides a high-ranking platform for dialogue between the Tunisian and German governments. The Secretariat of the Tunisian-German Energy Partnership, mandated by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi), based at the Tunisian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, supports both governments in the implementation of the Partnership. Since its inception in 2012, the Secretariat has organized several ministerial meetings and established the German-Tunisian Energy Day as an important conference held annually in Tunis.
