Stronger energy systems for Tunisia.

Our working areas

Promote renewable energy generation

By combining technical expertise, policy advice, the organization of multi-stakeholder dialogues, and on-the-ground implementation, the partnership helps governmental actors design and enforce effective policies and regulatory frameworks that attract investment in renewable energy, such as solar and wind. These efforts aim to raise the share of renewables in the energy mix and thereby strengthen energy security.

Enhance power system flexibility and infrastructure

Through capacity building, peer-to-peer exchange, and technical expertise, the partnership strengthens energy systems to be more stable, efficient, innovative, and future-ready. It supports modernization of power grid infrastructure and enhancement of system flexibility, both critical for integrating renewables, enabling grid operators to plan resilient, adaptive networks that accommodate variable sources such as solar and wind.

Improving energy transitions market conditions

By organizing Business-to-Government (B2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) dialogues, the partnership aims to improve market conditions for the energy transition. It supports governmental actors in designing and enforcing clear policies and regulatory frameworks that attract private-sector investment in renewable energy and clean technologies. At the same time, it fosters cooperation among businesses to promote innovation, share best practices, and develop sustainable energy solutions. Together, these efforts help lay the groundwork for a stable, dynamic market environment conducive to accelerating the energy transition.

Tunisia has adopted an ambitious National Energy Strategy to accelerate the energy transition by advancing renewable energy and promoting energy efficiency by 2035. As part of this vision, the country aims to reach around 35% renewable electricity by 2030 and expand further in the years ahead.
